Pening Kepala

Masuk hari ni dah berapa kali saya perlu menatap wajah skrin komputer. Kena buat isothermal balik sebab IC yang guna sebelum ni tak menjadikan stagnant shock. Tapi bila buat balik keputusannya adalah nan. Saya perlu meniliti balik dimanakah tempat yang salahnya. Sejarah berulang kembalilah nampaknya.

Numerical Essential #1:Boundary

Last time when I mentioned whether my solution is stable or not, it all pointed to one thing->boundary condition. Yes, I did look into my supervisor code and in my mind, I was looking at the same thing i.e his BC and mine is the same. Perhaps, one thing that I couldn't get rid of since my undergrad (or perhaps childhood) is that I tend to think differently when I looked at something and this seems badly influence my coding ability. Anyhow, put this aside first and and I want to say about boundary condition.

My supervisor asked if I did my BC correctly and I confidently replied yes, and we checked together. Of course, I made some precipitate mistakes and when that was fixed, everything goes as expected. In this case, I have 3 types of BC: a)outlet b)fixed c)hard. These are just an extension of Dirichlet BC. An outlet BC is where the ghost cell is the same as the neighboring cell; either left or right depending on the location, a fixed BC is when we fixed the ghost cell value and hard BC is like having a wave hitting a hard wall and reflected.  

All I'm saying is that, boundary and a correct one is crucial and those who said there is no boundary  or no limit (in life too) are actually just a bunch of dunderheads who will screw up later.

Is it stable?

After a few months I managed to get rid of the bugs inside my code. It is really painful those days where I had to come to the lab, staring at my computer screen and at the end of the day, nothing came out. So how did I overcome the problem? I tried to give myself a reward if I am able to solve the problem. The reward is a laptop, MacBook pro. And then, BUM. Yes, it was solved! but when I looked at the Macbook price, it is RM3499.99, that is 1 cent less than what I have in my bank account. So, I decided to get myself only a window that costs less than half of that apple price.

And now that the problem is solved, another came; try to replicate my supervisor's stability spectrum result. Well, as usual, nothing right came. All I got is stable, even until Mach 20, and even with perturbation point inserted. Is it possible that my result is all stable?

Apa nak jadi

buat phd sesemangnya susah. Saya telah buat permasalahan yang sama sejak november lalu tapi masih lagi tak berubah jawapannya serta masalah yang sama timbul. Jadi kepada sesiapa yang kata phd ni hanya kutip2 sana sini untuk buat satu thesis, maka itu tidaklah benar sama sekali. Cuba masuk sendiri kalau nak tau macam mana susahnya.

Saya cuba memberi masa kepada diri sendiri untuk menyetelkan masalah ini sampai hujung minggu ini sahaja. Apa akan jadi selepas ni saya tak pasti.

gerakan pelajar islam

Selama saya mengikuti pengajian di luar negara, selama itulah juga saya sentiasa aktif dalam gerakan Islam dikalangan para pelajar muslim dari malaysia. Walaupun selepas saya menamatkan pengajian di sana dan kemudiannya pulang ke tanahair, saya masih mengikuti perkembangan semasa tentang kemajuan kumpulan kami di sana. Kadang2, saya juga memberi maklumat tentang perkembangan semasa di Malaysia yang berkaitan. Namun, selepas beberapa ketika dan waktu, segala maklumat yang saya sampaikan pada mulanya dipertikaikan dan akhirnya apa yang saya sampaikan telah disekat secara total walaupun perkara2 yang seperti penempatan pelajar2 malaysia di suatu2 universiti.

Pada mulanya saya tidak kisah apabila diperlakukan demikian, akhirnya saya menyedari apa yang mereka tidak persetujui dan saya mengambil keputusan untuk meninggalkan organisasi terbabit. Saya masih sayngkan perjuangan mereka dan saya mengharapkan pendirian orang2 tertinggi dikalangan mereka akan berubah.

Saya melihat situasi yang sama juga berlaku dalam mana2 kumpulan, organisasi dan sebagainya yang mana, walaupun perkara yag diperselisihkan bukanlah agenda utama gerakan, namun disebabkan kefahaman sebahagian besar pihak2 atasan tidak selari dengan beberapa kelompok kecil, kelompok kecil ini akan dipinggirkan walaupun berada di pihak yang benar.

Saya inginkan kebenaran walaupun tidak disokong ramai manusia. Dan saya mendoakan keikhlasan bagi orang2 yang benar2 berjuang untuk menegakkan yang benar seperti apa yang telah ditunjukkan dalam Al-quran dan Sunnah.

I remember my undergrad class about gasdynamics. My professor is Dr. Ramohalli. I'm not sure what he is talking about and and couldn't decipher his words but all I can get is through reading and his drawing on the blackboard. One thing i remember is he always like to link our course to the old stories from Charles Dickens, one of them is the Tale of the two Cities and he changed it to nozzle. The converging and diverging nozzle. His exams are relatively easy and when people asked about some clarification during the test, he will, accidentally, tell the answer. Some of them try to sit at the front for next test to hear some QAs.

Well, but I do not like that course very much because I do not want to get an A in my test but fail to understand what it is all about. That's why I had to sell the book and I felt regret now that I need it most.

This is a picture of my neighbor's 2 floors bungalow. And intriguingly, one of its pillar is almost broken. It is engineeringly bad construction.

I think its been about 5 years that I bought my Fujifilm S1 Pro slr camera and haven't use it. That's because my brother wanted to buy it and he still haven't paid for it. Then When I came back from the State after finishing my master, I figured that he never use it and claimed that it was broken. I told him, to give back to me, and it seem nothing wrong with it. Perhaps that he just din't how to properly use it. Then I bought a 300-70 sigma lense for 70 bucks and it seem to make my camera healthy. Here are some pics.

I'm not sure if it some crow species or not. Their eyes are bright red and their body is of the size of dove.

1-D Heat transfer is done!

Thank God! I have finished my C++ work on 1-D heat transfer. I figured that if I just sat and look into the problem so many times, eventually ideas will flow through my mind. No, no, this is not yaqazah. It is just how to put things in the right order into C++. Since I'm still has to get a grip to its function and syntax, etc.

Now, I just need put my motto which are:
Your time --> How did you spent with it?
Your money --> Where did you get it and how you spend it?

Then, I'll drive myself on the right track. I got something else too. Most are from Syh. Riad's class.

mumbling

Sunday, today. I planned not to do anything today, just relax and read some books in my room. I was thinking about all my previous time in the State and how missed some of it now that I know, I wont sure when I'll be back there, visit some of my friends, walk the streets that I used to walk. After six years, I just realized that I should do something useful while there, but now nothing can be done. Yet, I still have something not to be regretted of. My youth was spent in the States and it had defined who I'm now, and I think that is something to be proud of. Not many Malaysians, especially someone whose family had nothing, did that. Going there really change my attitude, well physically too. I got 20 kg extra weight after graduation, (I'm struggling to lose it).

Well, that's that. I will continue something later.

Working with C++

I'm currently working with C++, which I took in back in 2001 for my prep course at INTEC. When I went for undergrad at UA, I didn't use C++ but MatLab, it is required. Then, also for my master, I use MatLab. However, now that I'm back for the final degree, I'm going to retrace all my C++ memory which has been long forgotten. I went home and took my C++ textbook and found what I wrote in that book. I couldn't even remember any of it. It is like an absolute amnesia for me. Well, my supervisor is a real hardcore for numerical and insisting on using C++ for my codes. It is for a better future, he said. And so, I tried.

At the moment, I just finished writing 1D heat equation which took me 2 weeks working on that. The other student are not much help even though they tried. Well, actually only one tried, the others seem to be absent almost all the time.

I'm planning to finish off the works before going home.
